How usage works
AI input uses one credit per started 4,000 characters; output uses one credit per started 1,000 tokens. The application reserves a maximum before work starts, then settles the request. Failed AI requests release their credits. Research may include several AI calls; recording transcription is charged by file size. Each successful Tavily search uses two credits; Crossref searches use no search credits. Deterministic tools — the planner, grade calculator, flashcard scheduling and source checklist — use no credits. Annual plans receive twelve months of credits for the annual period. Credits do not roll over after a paid period.
Taxes, when applicable, are calculated at checkout. Cancel renewal through the billing portal; your existing work is not automatically deleted when a plan ends. Paid allowances require confirmed payment. Proofline is sold to individual students only; there are no school, department or organisation accounts.
